IMPACT Community Services are looking to employ an experienced, professional Employment Services Manager who is responsible for the day-to-day management of our Employment Services, Workforce Australia (WFA) team. This includes the delivery of services, management of staff and the effective development and management of budgets. This position is full-time fixed term until 30 June 2027.

This qualified professional will embrace a high-quality customer service mantra, collaborating with a diverse range of people across the organisation and externally in a Not-for-Profit arena.

You will do this by -

Strategic Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategies aligned with Workforce Australia and National Panel of Assessors contracts, local market conditions, and team/customer needs.

Actively contribute to the organisation’s strategic planning processes.

Program & Service Management

Set, communicate, and monitor team and individual performance targets and behavioural expectations.

Analyse performance data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.

Ensure staff are well-trained and informed for effective service delivery.

Maintain regular reporting to the General Manager Innovation.

Ensure claims are accurate, timely, and compliant with contractual requirements.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service quality and outcomes.

Attend relevant training, industry events, and community meetings.

Track and manage placements, outcomes, claims, and other key indicators.

Support funding proposals and promote organisational services.

Optimise internal billing opportunities while maintaining high-quality, outcome-focused client services.

Staff Management

Recruit, supervise, and coordinate staff effectively.

Conduct 6- and 12-month performance development reviews to support staff growth.

Mentor team members to help them reach their full potential.

Financial Responsibilities

Demonstrate working knowledge of financial processes and budgeting.

Administrative Responsibilities

Participate in organisational evaluations and complete required documentation.

General Responsibilities

Promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Perform other duties as required, aligned with the staff member’s experience, qualifications, and role level.

What you need to be successful in this role:

Extensive knowledge and experience of Employment Services contracts

Demonstrated experience in direct supervision of staff including motivating, guiding, supporting and addressing issues (as required)

Program management skills including the ability to monitor performance and address non performance

Strong results orientation and a proven track record of delivering on time, on budget and to required standards

Proven ability to analyse complex problems, identify critical issues and develop strategies for delivering solutions

Proven ability to work as a team player sharing knowledge, contributing proactively to achieving team goals and providing mentoring and guidance to less experienced staff

Ability to work under pressure and deliver to tight time frames

Demonstrated computer skills with proficient use in Microsoft Office applications
