Business Manager Education
The Business Manager Education supports the Impact Community ACADEMY and particularly the Principal. Impact Community ACADEMY is a special assistance school in Bundaberg which opened in 2025 and provides a supportive and engaging space for young people at risk of disengaging from traditional education.
The Business Manager Education supports the coordination and delivery of administrative, financial, compliance, governance, information technology, marketing and human resources services to the ACADEMY. These services are provided by Corporate Services teams within IMPACT Community Services to the ACADEMY. The Business Manager is key to ensuring best practice and innovation to create stronger educational outcomes.
What you'll be doing
Acting as the primary point of contact for the Principal and liaising with Corporate Services teams
Providing a range of governance and corporate services (eg, preparation of budgets, correspondence, audits, facilities and asset maintenance)
Identifying and meeting legislative requirements, including the mitigation of risk and the management of compliance and quality
Arranging ACADEMY Board meetings, producing meeting minutes and preparing regular reports to the ACADEMY Board of Directors
Performing the role of Company Secretary and managing governance processes
Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial information supported by the IMPACT Finance Manager, together with supporting the Principal with the preparation and administration of the ACADEMY budget
What we're looking for
Previous experience in a similar role, including currency and a working knowledge of relevant Acts, legislation, processes and procedures in secondary schools
A strong knowledge of legislation, compliance, governance and financial practices
Practical experience in coordinating systems, policies and procedures related to purchasing, asset management, financial, reporting and administration
A track record in coaching others
Ability to provide practical advice to the ACADEMY Principal, staff and Directors
Excellent organisational and time management skills
