Are you an experienced Finance Manager with a background in property accounting? We’re seeking a proactive and hands-on professional to join a high-performing team on a 3-month contract until early November 2025 with a leading global property group.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager, this role plays a key part in partnering with Property Managers and clients to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting across a diverse property portfolio.
This is a great opportunity for a seasoned finance leader with strong technical skills and stakeholder engagement experience to hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team delivering full property accounting services
• Partner with Property Managers as the key finance contact
• Oversee month-end close, reporting, and journal entries
• Deliver balance sheet reconciliations, rent smoothing, and amortisation journals
• Manage annual outgoing reconciliations and liaise with auditors
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Oversee compliance with trust accounting and property accounting policies
• Train and mentor junior team members
• Liaise with client finance teams and manage audit requirements
• Provide Level 1 support for MRI system use
• Manage transition of new properties into/out of the portfolio

About You

• CPA/CA qualified (or equivalent)
• Experience in property or real estate finance highly regarded
• Strong technical skills including Excel; experience with MRI/Argus a bonus
• Excellent communication and team leadership abilities
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under pressure
