Accounts Payable

Airtight Solutions is a leading supplier of air pollution control systems and part of the Environmental Group Limited. Due to staff turnover, there is an opportunity to join our finance team as an Accounts Payable officer based in the EGL corporate office in Mount Waverley.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all invoices and payments within our accounts payable system. This role will play a vital part in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently. Some accounts receivable experience would be advantageous.

We are transitioning to Oracle NetSuite later this year, so experience in this system is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

· Processing vendor invoices and expense reports accurately and efficiently

· Verifying invoices against purchase orders and receiving documents

· Maintaining accurate records of all accounts payable transactions

· Reconciling vendor statements and resolving any discrepancies

· Preparing and processing payments

· Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures related to accounts payable

· Assisting with month-end closing procedures and reporting

· Communicating with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding payment status and inquiries

· Other duties as required

Skills required

· Previous accounts payable experience

· Ability to adapt to new operating system

· Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

· Ability to work in an ‘open’ team office environment and possess excellent interpersonal skills including written and verbal communications skills

· Able to work to strict guidelines and deadlines in a timely manner

· Logical minded person able to deal with issues appropriately as they arise

· Sound computer knowledge of: Microsoft Office products particularly Excel and Word, accounting software packages (MYOB Advanced, Oracle NetSuite)
