🧵 Heavy Industrial Sewing Machinist – Full-Time Position - Training Provided

Retractable Tarps is a well-established, family-owned business based in Brendale, QLD. We specialise in manufacturing high-quality tarp systems for the transport industry.

We are currently seeking a Heavy Industrial Sewing Machinist to join our Sewing Department. This is a full-time role with training provided, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop valuable skills in a growing Australian manufacturing sector.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

Straight-line sewing of hems, with and without seatbelt reinforcement

Cutting patterns and marking tarps according to custom order sheets

Joining various materials through straight-line sewing

Assembling shaped panels into large rectangular tarps

Handling and working with heavy-duty fabrics

🎓 Experience & Requirements:

Prior experience in heavy industrial sewing is preferred but not essential

Must be capable of working with heavy fabrics

A keen interest in learning and developing sewing skills is highly valued

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview and may be asked to complete a short sewing machine trial.
