The Family Health and Wellbeing Services deliver culturally informed health care and wellbeing to our families accessing Birthing and Early Childhood Community services. The service provides access to dedicated family support workers, case-load midwifery, Child Health Educators, post-natal clinics, early learning programs, and a social health support
About the Role?
This role is responsible for leading the delivery of culturally appropriate, client-centred social and emotional wellbeing recovery and therapeutic services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across the Family Health and Wellbeing Services within Moreton ATSICHS service area. This role involves providing leadership and direction to a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the seamless integration of mental health and wellbeing programs with MATSICHS’s broader offerings.
Day to Day Duties Include:
- Uphold client confidentiality, ensuring their right to privacy with information only being shared where consents are provided.
- Following the Employee Obligations Guideline by ensuring that the Cultural Integrity Investment Framework is embedded in all that we do.
- Assist in the planning, development and implementation of social health support programs for clients and their families in areas of mental health, family and domestic violence, alcohol and other drugs, social emotional wellbeing using a variety of appropriate intervention models with a continuity of care and community based approach
- Monitor and contribute to the development of practices, outcomes, procedures and protocols within the social health service teams and across the region.
- Develop, maintain and monitor teamwork plans that outlines a program of activities in line with the IUIH/MATSICHS Strategic Plan and to consolidate performance outcomes for the team within the required reporting indicators.
- Manage a team holding a direct minimal case load of clients with complex needs applying independent high level clinical decision-making skills integrating evidence based practice to contribute to multidisciplinary complex case management to achieve best practice outcomes with infrequent need for direct practice supervision.
About You?
- Demonstrated management experience working in clinical and/or social support services delivered to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the area of social and emotional wellbeing.
- Demonstrated ability to work with vulnerable client groups, including an understanding
- Knowledge of the mental and social health service system and the range of treatment/support options available.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health services and the issues facing these organizations.
- Relevant Tertiary Level Qualifications and/or minimum 5 years’ experience in a relevant role
- Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD)
- Current Criminal History Check
- Current Working with Children Clearence (QLD Blue Card)
- Bachelor Qualification in relevant field
