Join Curtin School of Allied Health as a Clinical Coordinator Academic Lead (official title: Lecturer) in a part-time role (0.6 FTE). The preferred working days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with some flexibility if necessary. This position is available until December 31, 2025.
This position involves overseeing the clinical training of health sciences students from diverse disciplines at the Curtin University Cockburn Student-led clinics during Semester 2 of 2025, located at Cockburn Integrated Health. The role focuses on facilitating interprofessional practice (IPP) experiences among students, ensuring a rich learning environment that promotes teamwork, shared knowledge and integrated care for clients managed by these Curtin students.
The ideal candidate will possess client-facing clinical experience and demonstrate a strong commitment to providing effective facilitation of learning and clinic oversight. You will play a pivotal role in building relationships with students on placement and working closely with discipline-specific clinical educators to ensure effective learning outcomes and quality client care.
Who we are looking for:
- A doctoral qualification in a relevant Health Sciences discipline or equivalent accreditation and professional standing for this Teaching Focused Clinical Professional role.
- Demonstrated high-level facilitation of interprofessional student-learning experiences and promotion of reflective learning among diverse student groups.
- Demonstrated high-level communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills with a commitment to the development of a collegial and supportive working environment and the ability to interact with students and staff with cross-cultural sensitivity.
- Demonstrated commitment to the application of relevant and applicable policies, procedures and legislation in the day-to-day performance of the functions of this position
Role Requirements:
- As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role
