About The role:
As a Teaching Academic Lecturer in the Academic Capability Development team in the Faculty of Business and Law, you will work on strategic projects related to assessment mapping and design. By leveraging your understanding of pedagogical theory, contemporary best practices, and teaching experience, you will analyse, propose solutions for, and evaluate complex challenges in learning and teaching. You will work closely with discipline academics to enhance assessment and feedback to improve student learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance to staff on innovative assessment design
- Design and deliver resources and programs to staff to enhance assessment and feedback
- Contribute to the Faculty’s strategic learning and teaching projects
- Use your understanding of pedagogical theory, contemporary best practice and recent experience to analyse, propose solutions for, and evaluate complex learning and teaching issues; and
- Undertake other duties as required.

Located within the Academic Capability Development team in the Faculty Operations area of the Faculty of Business and Law (FBL), we are seeking a full-time teaching academic to join our team. This role is open for secondment.

Selection Criteria:
- A doctoral qualification (or near completion) in a relevant academic discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to teach and assess at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including experience in designing effective assessments in higher education
- Demonstrated understanding of relevant issues in teaching and assessment in higher education, such as Gen-AI and academic integrity
- Demonstrated ability to use pedagogical theory, contemporary teaching practices, and practical experience to analyse complex issues in learning and teaching
- Demonstrated commitment to applying relevant University policies, procedures and guidance on learning, teaching and assessment in the day-to-day performance of the functions of the position
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team and with staff from diverse backgrounds
