Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of the kitchen and food service for both café and patient catering

Lead a small, dedicated kitchen team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations

Design and deliver nutritious, well-balanced menus aligned with dietary needs and hospital standards

Ensure the café offering is fresh, seasonal and appealing, with a strong focus on quality and service

Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and compliance

Manage kitchen ordering, stock control, rostering and budgeting

Collaborate with site and health services management to meet operational goals

About You

Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous in a high-volume or healthcare kitchen

Genuine understanding of dietary requirements, allergen management, and food safety standards

Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to build a positive kitchen culture

Ability to deliver both comfort-style meals and fresh, appealing café food

Experience managing budgets, suppliers, and kitchen operations

Professional, reliable and able to lead by example in a healthcare setting

A food safety supervisor certificate and full working rights in Australia
