Lead marketing position, providing support and advice to Executive Officer and guidance to People Promotions & Communications Manager and Graphic Design Marketing Specialist

Position:
To be responsible for all internal and external reporting, campaign management and budgeting. Overseeing all marketing campaign activities, promotions, and events through the project management system. The position also assists with general office administration management and procurement and negotiation with external marketing contractors and suppliers including media.
Selection Criteria:
Essential
Tertiary qualification in Business, Tourism and/or Marketing or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
Demonstrated experience in Business, Tourism and/or Marketing principles including in-depth understanding of digital marketing.
Demonstrated ability in delivering high level marketing strategy and vision
Proven experience in financial oversight.
Demonstrated high level leadership and management skills.
Ability to make complex decisions.
Proven ability in building and maintaining productive stakeholder relationships.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work in a high-pressure environment.

Key Areas -Major Responsibilities
Stakeholder engagement
Encourage and foster co-operative and participative relationships with key stakeholders, as well as business and community groups.
Identify, facilitate and provide opportunities for the growth and development of businesses within the agreed core service area.
Conduct activities that support the trading interests of businesses within the agreed core service area.
Develop and facilitate opportunities for city businesses to work in collaboration with one another.
Marketing, activations, Collateral, campaigns, events, operations and public relations
Creation of content calendar and annual marketing plan and campaign strategy
Campaign and marketing budget management and monitoring
Manage relationships with external contractors from quotes to ongoing contracts and execution of marketing services
Lead for Graphic design and content creation for printed advertising, posters, leaflets, guides, and organisational material such as strategic plan, annual report, stakeholder guide.
Writing briefs for quotes and campaigns and media releases
Manage the distribution of consumer facing and stakeholder newsletters
Manage website updating and review, content management in relation to annual marketing plan
Liaising with internal and external marketing staff in relation to content calendar, branding and marketing plan, in relation to promotional materials including up to date website content management, blog production and social media scheduling.
Reviewing ways to drive our digital presence, creating new ways to engage with and grow our online audience and increase brand awareness.
Producing campaign digital and asset tool-kits where required.
Project management of specific marketing projects, events, activations and/or campaigns as agreed
Campaign schedules and planning
Assist with all elements for marketing reporting as required
Lead advisor on organisation’s brand and marketing strategy
Communication and collaboration with stakeholders to gain information and form relationships and take advantage of strategic alignment and joint projects where required.
Use of Hubspot, SharePoint, mail chimp, survey monkey, website, social media platforms, Microsoft Teams and Suite and or similar.
Providing marketing expertise for planning and assessing organisational activities
Actively seek and identify sponsorship and partnership opportunities.
Attend out-of-hours functions as relevant and able.
Actively pursue media opportunities to promote the city in line with strategy
Identify opportunities and run marketing campaigns, events and promotions that create city visitation throughout the year
Campaign planning including writing briefs, organising quotes, monitoring budgets, managing timing and task allocation and completion through the project management system.
Manage relationships with external contractors and suppliers from quotes to negotiations, ongoing contracts and execution of marketing services and advertising agreements
Writing briefs for quotes and campaigns.
Producing formal KPI reports for campaigns, events and projects including engagement and attendance data, spend, resources, collating survey responses and gathering alternative data and website and social media analytics.
Managing all KPI and campaign reporting deadlines and streamlining reporting processes.
Managing relationships and bookings across a range of media including TV, radio and print.
Writing media releases, invitations and booking event spaces and managing incoming emails.
Reporting on website and social media promotions monthly
Contributing to public and stakeholder newsletter and updates
Management of IT software systems and office administration management including data entry of new business and event information to all systems and overseeing data integrity and making recommendations for process improvement.
Liaison with stakeholders and businesses to gather data, information and set up meetings.
Assisting with organisational reporting requirements and governance.
Use of CRM system, SharePoint, project management system, mail chimp, survey monkey, Microsoft Suite and web analytic programs.
Analysis of campaign KPI and data findings to enable reporting back to the team and to City of Launceston in order to contribute to strategy and decision making for the organisation
Other activities may be required that assist the team to achieve our strategic goals.
Assist Executive Officer with various tasks and responsibilities as needed
