Leading International Freight Forwarder and Logistics provider seeking experienced Customer Service/Sales clerk to join at Botany Head office , however relocating to Mascot end of 2025 thus close walk to train station. experience to qualify.
The role is part of customer service team where you will manage customer orders and provide quotes for primarily ocean freight. Ideally you may have prior experience in pricing . You will be assisting sales team by providing updated rates and ensuring competative rates sourced from overseas agents, carriers, forwarders working as part of team. This role involves sourcing rates either by email or phone from overseas and local carriers. You'll work closely with clients, overseas offices, internal and external stakeholders to provide exceptional customer service and exceed expectations. This role seeks a diligent and confident person to ensure quotes are sourced and provided in timely manner. Working closely with forwarding department, ensuring efficient competative and timely quoting as per clients requests and expectations.
About you :-
Minimum 3 years experience within the freight forwarding industry required.
Full understanding of INCO TERMS
Understanding of Import & Export - Sea/Air operations
Previous experience in Customer Service - International Freight Forwarding sought!
A positive "can do" attitude, personable, energetic and communicative
Able to work under pressure in a time sensitive environment.
Well organised and time efficient.
Strong attention to detail
About the role:-
Managing customer orders from purchase until local docs sourced
Source rates for both export and import FCL, LCL, and airfreight with airlines, carriers, overseas agents
Provide quotes in timely manner
Liaise with all parties (including overseas offices, airlines, carriers and transport contractors) to source competative rates
Update system in timely manner
Adhere to standardised procedures for administrative tasks, ensuring consistency and accuracy in data management.
Enter data into computer system and produce data/reports as required.
Additional tasks as directed by management
This role is available for immediate start.
