About the Role:
Exciting opportunity available for a trainee Assistant Venue Manager to join a family owned & operated Geelong CBD hotel.
This is a great opportunity for an applicant who knows how to ‘lead by example’, who has solid experience, is highly motivated, customer focused and a target driven individual. This role requires a dynamic problem solver with the ability to remain calm in high pressure situations and think on their feet while working under and learning from the Venue Manager & Management Team.

Skills & Experience:
· Proficiency in and passion for both food & beverage service with proven experience is essential.
· Strong understanding of Gaming and TAB facilities preferred however not required as in-venue training will be provided.
· Maintain a high standard of service to all patrons, while ensuring compliance with company policies, Liquor Act, Victorian Gaming Compliance and government regulations.
· Ensure smooth running of hotel operations on designated shifts.
· Complete all cash reconciliations in an accurate and timely manner.
· Proactively supervise all staff by providing clear and consistent direction, ensuring that company standards are adhered to at all times, as well as promoting a harmonious team environment.
· Be willing to take responsibility and accountability.
· The right candidates must have excellent communication skills and a strong customer service focus, as well as be professionally presented and groomed at all times.
· Committed, trustworthy and responsible professionals are what we are seeking. The candidates must be flexible and available to work a rotating roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays when rostering demands this.
· Current RSA required.
· Current Victorian Gaming Licence & RSG preferred however not required however must be obtained upon appointment of position.
· EGM and TAB experience is preferred however not required as venue specific training will be provided.
