The Role
Army Aviation System Program Office (AASPO) is commencing transition of our Attack Reconnaissance Helicopter (ARH) from service. This transition is expected to be complete by approximately 2028 dependent on Government decisions. AASPO is currently looking for an experienced Contract Officer who will be a key team member through the busy withdrawal and disposal process. After the disposal of the ARH, new platforms are being introduced into service within Army Aviation with exciting opportunities available.
About our Team
Army Aviation Systems Program Office (AASPO) is responsible for the sustainment of the ARH Tiger.
AASPO is located in South East Queensland, with offices in the Brisbane CBD and Airport. AASPO is part of the Army Aviation Systems Branch (AASB), which in turn is a key Branch within the Joint Aviation Systems Division(JASD) of CASG.

Our ideal candidate will be accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve moderately complex procedural, operational, administrative and business support work within our Commercial Team. You will be accountable to interpret and provide advice and assistance on procurement and contract management issues in accordance with legislation, procurement policies and procedures.
You will have high levels of flexibility to respond to changing priorities and challenges of the work environment. Sound decision making and judgment skills; excellent communication; and stakeholder engagement skills are key attributes required for the position.
You will also actively participate in team work; group activities; and contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
