Hours: 35 hours per week (7 hours/day, Mon–Fri)

About the Role
We’re seeking a proactive and capable Enforcement Technician to support the maintenance, testing, and installation of enforcement camera systems across NSW. The role is primarily field-based with hybrid flexibility and will suit someone hands-on, self-directed, and passionate about technology.
This position has become available due to an internal movement and will be part of a small, agile team within a high-profile regulatory environment. Your focus will be maintaining system uptime, investigating connectivity issues, and ensuring reliable operation of enforcement camera infrastructure.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Investigate root causes of connectivity issues across enforcement cameras
- Install routers, enforcement controllers, and support network commissioning
- Conduct site visits across NSW, primarily Sydney metro, with occasional regional travel
- Document test results, complete reports, and follow structured R&D processes
- Collaborate with operational staff and contractors to resolve issues quickly and effectively
- Support system testing, prototyping, and hardware setup as needed
What We're Looking ForMust-Have:
- A current Driver’s Licence (vehicle provided for site travel)
- Prior experience in a field-based technician role (e.g., Telstra, communications, IT support)
- Basic understanding of IT and networking: routers, Wi-Fi, command prompts, and cabling
- Comfortable using Windows and Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation
- Ability to read and write basic technical reports
- Willingness to travel frequently across Sydney metro and occasionally regionally (monthly)
- Self-driven, practical, and a strong “doer” attitude
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot independently
Highly Regarded:
- Interest in technology, electronics, or product development
- Experience in communications from 4G to optical (basic understanding only required)
- Familiarity with data fleshing, routing principles, and computer systems
- Hands-on experience in assembly, wiring, or prototyping
