Tika EQ
Posted 9 days ago
Tika EQ is a bold, Indigenous-led consultancy reshaping how people and systems engage. We design and deliver strategic projects that centre cultural integrity, collaboration, and real-world impact. Our work spans Country, communities, boardrooms and everything in between, and now, we’re looking for a brilliant Operations & Engagement Coordinator to come along for the ride.
Your Impact:
This isn’t your average admin gig. You’ll be at the heart of a fast-moving, values-led team, helping our two Founders stay focused and effective while coordinating the moving parts that power high-stakes community consultations and strategic initiatives. From wrangling calendars and emails, to being the welcoming and professional point of contact for Elders, custodians, and senior leaders, you’ll be the steady hand that keeps things humming.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Right-hand to the Founders:
Manage inboxes, diaries, inbound calls and meeting logistics.
Book travel, prep briefings, handle follow-ups and support project delivery.
Community & Stakeholder Coordination:
Be the lead organiser for consultation sessions – liaising with Indigenous Elders, Traditional Custodians, community reps, government and corporate stakeholders.
Handle scheduling, comms, notes, logistics and follow-up with cultural sensitivity and professionalism.
Admin with Heart:
Keep our internal systems tidy and up-to-date.
Help prepare reports, maintain registers and track engagement activities.
Support on-Country and onsite logistics as needed.
About You:
You’re grounded, proactive, and thrive in dynamic environments. You’ve got an eye for detail and a heart for people, especially when working with First Nations communities and stakeholders of all kinds.
You’ll Bring:
Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and/or Indigenous organisations.
Strong interpersonal skills – confident with everyone from Elders to Executives.
Admin chops: highly organised, efficient, and tech-savvy.
The ability to juggle multiple tasks calmly, with sound judgment and discretion.
A commitment to respectful, inclusive and culturally safe practices.
Bonus Points For:
Executive assistant, project officer or community engagement experience.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and collaboration tools.
Previous exposure to stakeholder engagement, social impact or advisory work.
Why Join Tika EQ?
Work with respected Indigenous and social impact leaders on projects that matter.
Be part of a small, ambitious team making real-world change.
Flexible, family-friendly working arrangements.
Room to grow and make your mark as the organisation evolves.
You’ll never be bored; our work is diverse, meaningful and people-powered.
This role is hybrid (Sydney-based, min. one day a week in the office and onsite when required), 30 hours per week, flexible across 4 or 5 days.
How to Apply:
