Our client is looking for a highly experienced Business Development Executive to identify new business opportunities, manage existing client relationships and drive revenue growth.
They are a well-established Australian-owned manufacturer serving clients across FMCG, industrial, and retail sectors. The business is vertically integrated, with capabilities spanning design, production, and distribution of custom packaging solutions, including corrugated boxes, litho-laminated cartons, and specialty retail displays.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies.
- Assist General Manager in setting sales budget.
- Meet agreed budgeted sales target
- Track sales progress against budget.
- Identify and approach new business opportunities.
- Increase sales from existing clients.
- Attain forecasts from clients.
- Manage CRM
- Document and report on jobs won / lost and reasoning
- Prepare and submit weekly report detailing activity, quotes , sales received per week
- Participate in monthly sales meeting
- Organise and attend weekly on-site and offsite meetings with clients.
- Brief in I.D and graphic design requests in production meeting.
Candidates Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years sales experience in manufacturing, industrial, or B2B environments.
- Prior experience in FMCG, plastics, cartons, labelling, or automation is a strong plus.
- Understanding of production workflows, lead times, and supply chain cycles.
- Demonstrated ability to generate new business, manage existing accounts, and hit revenue targets.
- Track record of managing sales pipelines and closing complex deals.
- Experience using CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) to track and manage customer interactions.
- Understanding of product specs, production capabilities, and technical drawings.
- Ability to liaise with engineers, production teams, and clients about custom solutions or equipment.
- Capability to build long-term client relationships, especially in mid-market or enterprise B2B environments.
- Familiarity with national accounts or multi-site customers is often desirable.
