The Role
We are seeking an ambitious and proactive Business Development Manager to expand our reach in the NSW, QLD, and ACT markets. Based in our Macquarie Park office and reporting to the Northern Region Sales Manager, you will work closely with our suppliers to deliver innovative and reliable Power and Cooling Infrastructure Solutions. This role is focused on building new client relationships, strengthening existing ones, and ensuring customer needs are met with precision.
Key Responsibilities
Account Ownership: Manage and nurture existing accounts, deepening relationships by understanding client history and needs while identifying new opportunities for growth.
New Business Development: Identify and close new business opportunities by assessing client needs, developing tailored solutions, and meeting sales KPIs.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams and external partners, ensuring smooth coordination to achieve client objectives.
Customer Engagement: Conduct regular site visits to manage activity and ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions that meet project specifications and client expectations.
Product and Partner Engagement: Foster strong connections with global product partners, participating in regular meetings and training to stay up-to-date on new technologies and solutions.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the local team to ensure smooth handover and management of new opportunities.
What We’re Looking For
Skills and Experience: Background in sales or engineering with a drive to succeed. Electrical or engineering skills are highly advantageous but not required.
Attention to Detail: Accuracy and thoroughness across all tasks to maximise results across sales channels.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and product partners.
Problem-Solving: Ability to develop and present tailored solutions that align with clients’ technical and commercial needs.
Computer Literacy: Proficient in using digital tools to manage accounts and facilitate communication with clients and partners. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM advantageous.
