Employment type - Full time Ongoing

Salary - Clerk Grade 11/12 $149,739 - $173,174 plus super

Your role

As part of the Commercial and Development team, this role will provide strategic leadership and advice on commercial, financial transactional and governance aspects of commercial arrangements involving Homes NSW. Adopting a strategic and risk-based approach, this role will be developing financial structures and strategies for deploying various forms of funding within Homes NSW projects and with Homes NSW developer partners to ultimately deliver more housing for those that need it most.

What you'll do

With a key focus on driving organisational efficiency and standardisations, the responsibilities of this role will include (but are not limited to):

  • Promoting consistent processes and fostering strong stakeholder relationships to help achieve broader strategic goals
  • Leading procurement and property negotiations
  • Evaluating complex proposals, and contributing to the development of long-term commercial strategies and policy setting
  • Developing financial structures and strategies for deploying State and Federal funding
  • Providing expert, authoritative and responsive support and advice to the Commercial Director and Chief Executive
  • Assisting in leading commercial business planning and implementation in an environment of multi-faceted internal and external stakeholders needs
  • Undertaking, managing and interpreting comprehensive financial modelling and analysis
  • Implementing and maintaining best practice solutions for complex commercial, financial, legal and multi-disciplinary issues

What we're looking for

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of contemporary approaches to strategic land redevelopment, market procurement best practice, financing, approvals and implementation
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Experience in risk management and negotiations
  • Ability to work both in a team environment and autonomously
  • Strong decision making and organisational skills to be able to prioritise and adhere to competing deadlines
  • Up to date knowledge of industry relevant legislation
