My client is a publicly listed company operating across the US, Canada, and Australia, specialising in workforce solutions for the natural resources sector. In Australia, the business is actively expanding its footprint through strategic acquisitions within the infrastructure and services sectors.

The Corporate Development team is buyside-focused and operates as an internal advisory group.

The Sydney team is small but expanding and they work with a broader M&A team based in Houston (head office).

We are looking for a technically strong and commercially minded Analyst to support M&A deal execution and contribute to making strategic decisions. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with senior decision-makers on deals that directly impact business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate M&A and growth opportunities across industrial services sectors
• Conduct market, industry, and macro research on potential opportunities
• Build/manipulate 3-statement financial models (DCF, P&L, cash flow)
• Support due diligence and prepare presentations for senior leadership
• Track acquisition targets, competitors, and valuation benchmarks

We are seeking:

• 2+ years in Investment Banking, Corporate Development, Project Finance, or Professional Services experience
• Strong Financial Modelling skills – has had exposure to Discounted Cash Flow modeling and has built 3-statement models (P&L, cashflow, balance sheet)
• A confident self-starter who enjoys an autonomous working environment
