WHO WE ARE:
Albany Youth Support Association is the leading youth homelessness service and outreach group servicing Albany and the Great Southern with a strong history of care and support for homeless and ‘at risk’ youth. Established in 1982, along with Residential Accommodation, Albany Youth Support Association now provides a number of outreach services across the Great Southern region, all of which, are guided by social justice principles.
THE ROLE: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER:
The AYSA Board of Management is seeking a full time Chief Executive Officer who will lead AYSA into the next phase of program delivery consolidation and expanded regional growth and development. AYSA has recently created a specialist Strategic Projects and Planning position which will complement and enhance its leadership alongside the CEO. The new position is being adopted by the current CEO, Mr. Ian Clarke APM. The successful CEO candidate will have a proven track record as an executive/senior leader in the same or similar industries.
Experience working within a clinical governance framework in the health sector, particularly in the mental health sphere, is a desirable qualification with this application.
The ability to lead and develop a high performing team will be essential, as will be the ability to drive performance, grow services, and develop partnerships and relationships with government, other agencies and community stakeholders.
The new Chief Executive Officer will have support from a committed Board and be guided by the Strategic Plan, 2025/26 Budget, and Operational Plan.
The new Chief Executive Officer will be expected to live in the region and work from AYSA’s administration offices.

· Qualified & Experienced - tertiary-level qualifications with experience in senior management and executive roles
Desirable Skills and Attributes:
· Demonstrated understanding of the provision of therapeutic models of care and in assessing risks, needs and safety for young people residing in out of home care services and in the community;
· Demonstrated knowledge and experience of the not-for-profit sector;
· Previous experience and knowledge of issues with youth.
· Knowledge and application of organisational clinical leadership and governance in programs for mental health and wellbeing.
