THE OPPORTUNITY

Omnia Wheel is an award-winning manufacturing business based in Beresfield, NSW. We are the only omni-directional wheel manufacturer in Australia and a world leader in our field.

We are growing both locally and overseas, exporting to more than 50 countries. With a focus on growth through innovation and mastery in our field we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with at least 3 years of experience to join our team.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

You would ideally have experience with a number of the following:

• Experience in the design and development of products for consumer products, light industrial applications and/or conveyors
• Project management within a product development environment
• Knowledge of common manufacturing processes: fitting, machining, CNC, sheet metal and injection-moulding (beneficial but not essential)
• Use of 3D Modelling Software – Solidworks preferred
• Use of geometric dimensioning and tolerances
• Engineering testing - researching, designing, building, conducting and interpreting results

WHAT YOU'LL DO

This role will provide engineering design and technical support to the company in the following areas:

• Development of omni-direction wheels
• Development of products using omni directional wheels – such as conveyor systems, light industrial products and consumer products
• Project manage new products from design stage, through development, tooling, testing to market.
• Produce and maintain product documentation
• Discover/investigate product improvement opportunities through research and testing

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, with an immediate start and opportunity for career growth. Salary negotiable based on experience.
