We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, energetic, and enthusiastic Risk, Capability and Analysis Leader.
This position is classified under the Public Service, ‘Senior Executive Service’ and will be offered under the terms of up to a 5 year contract, with the possibility of extensions.
This selection process may be used to fill other similar at level vacancies that arise within twelve (12) months. Applicants deemed suitable but not recommended may be considered for those roles.
About the Role
The Director Risk, Capability and Analysis is accountable for providing strategic leadership, coordination and direction in the development and evaluation of the State’s emergency risk management and capability profiles. The position will ensure contemporary research, data, and insights are leveraged to shape strategies and effective risk management, preparedness and assurance programs are embedded within the State’s emergency management framework.
The position is also responsible for leading the development, implementation and maintenance of policies and processes to measure and identify capability gaps, to understand and evaluate preparedness and apply risk assessments to inform priority planning and investment decisions. Working in collaboration with stakeholders and supporting other agencies to mitigate the effects of emergencies in the Western Australian community to increase community safety before, during and after emergencies is vital to this role.
