The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Management Accountant will be responsible for delivering meaningful financial insight across cost performance and operational efficiency. With a strong emphasis on data analysis, this role will support business decision-making and lead initiatives to improve cost control in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead cost accounting processes and monitor product and production cost performance

Analyse inventory movements including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to ensure accurate valuation and reporting

Prepare cost variance analysis and provide insights to operations and supply chain teams

Deliver management reports, dashboards, and commentary for internal stakeholders

Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process, with a focus on cost and margin

Identify opportunities for process improvement and enhanced reporting through ERP and BI tools

About You

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA/CPA qualified or working towards)

Proven experience in management or cost accounting within a manufacturing environment

Understanding of inventory and cost flows, standard costing, and variance analysis

Highly analytical with strong Excel and data interrogation skills

Confident using ERP systems and BI reporting tools

Strong communication skills with the ability to engage operations and non-finance stakeholders

A proactive, improvement-focused mindset with attention to detail and commercial awareness
