About us:
This role is one of 6 Management Accountants and 5 Senior Management Accountants who report to the Manager, Management Accounting within the Finance Division. These roles work within allocated portfolios to provide financial support to the hospital and community facilities across the Central Queensland Health (CQ Health).

About the role:
The role is part of a designated management accounting team required to maintain contemporary knowledge of legislation and standards regarding financial management and budgeting, including activity based funding and financial management policies and procedures to ensure the Business Unit and CQ Health has sound financial governance to comply with regulatory and legislative requirements.
Role holders work closely with the Business Units, particularly cost centre managers. The role holders assist the Manager, Management Accounting, Senior Management Accountants and Executive Directors / General Managers to meet their financial accountabilities by preparing and analysing data and identifying trends and risks at the cost centre level to ensure the Manager, Management Accounting, Senior Management Accountant and the Executive and Senior Leadership Teams have visibility of performance across the business unit to assist with strategy and planning of clinical and operational services.
About you:
While not mandatory, a relevant qualification in business, accounting, finance or other relevant discipline would be well regarded.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $114,177 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $45.81 - $50.46 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
