As the Advancement Events Manager at a prestigious university, you'll be at the forefront of creating exceptional experiences that connect alumni, donors, and potential supporters to the institution's mission. You'll have the opportunity to lead a team in designing and delivering a diverse range of events, from local alumni gatherings to international donor engagements. Your role will directly impact the university's advancement efforts, making this a key position for those passionate about event management, stakeholder engagement, and higher education advancement.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead Event Strategy: Oversee the development and execution of a comprehensive Advancement events program aligned with university goals.
  • Manage High-Profile Events: Plan and deliver large-scale, complex events that reflect the university's brand and strategic objectives.
  • Lead Team Performance: Supervise and mentor Advancement Events Officers, ensuring high standards of event delivery across the portfolio.
  • Foster Stakeholder Relationships: Collaborate with various university departments and external partners to create seamless, impactful events.

You are a dynamic event management professional with strong leadership skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for creating memorable experiences that advance institutional goals in higher education.

You may also:

  • Have a postgraduate qualification or extensive experience in event management.
  • Demonstrate proven success in planning and delivering large, complex, high-profile events within budget constraints.
  • Show experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Have experience in risk management and compliance for public-facing events.
  • Have experience working with senior stakeholders across large, complex organisations.

The Advancement Office aims to facilitate the establishment and maintenance of mutually beneficial relationships between the University and its alumni, friends and benefactors. It is responsible for the management of programs relating to alumni and benefactors and provides services to and works collaboratively with faculties and other central administration areas.
