About the Role:
Under the leadership of Chancellor Steve Bracks and Vice-Chancellor Adam Shoemaker, this is an exciting opportunity for a communications and events professional to join the Advancement team. Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager and working closely with the Alumni Relations Manager, the ideal candidate will have experience in best practice, alumni and donor centric engagement. Examples of duties that will be performed are:
Development of digital-first communications to boost alumni engagement and philanthropic support, including fundraising EDMs, impact reports, social media content (posts, stories, campaigns).
Implementing and/or supporting bespoke in-person and digital events for between 20 to 300 guests
Providing high level organisational and administrative support to ensure efficient operations and a high level of service to alumni and donors, as well as to other relevant internal and external stakeholders.
About the Person:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent project management, communications, and customer service skills in delivering donor and alumni campaigns and events.
The successful applicant will:
Demonstrated experience in implementing marketing and communications plans, with particular focus on digital channels
Demonstrated experience in project management and delivering in-person engagement events
Well-developed oral and written communication skills, including digital content and report writing.
Well-developed interpersonal and customer service skills, including the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of staff and alumni in a University environment.
