The role

The Management and Regulatory Accountant is part of a multi-skilled team within the Finance workgroup who collectively ensure Gippsland Water’s key financial planning accountabilities and objectives are met in a timely and efficient manner, whilst working on pricing policy, economic regulation and corporate planning. Additionally, the position plays a key role in providing value to the organisation through increased visibility and understanding of financial planning and performance.

What you’ll bring

Qualification in Accounting or demonstratable experience in an Accounting role (CPA/CA qualifications desirable)

Experience in Management Accounting and financial modelling

Ability to interpret complex regulatory or accounting guidelines

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Strong time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial systems.
