Description

  • Maintain and manage information systems to ensure compliance with records management standards.
  • Provide support and advice on document control and records management practices.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of information management policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate the classification, storage, and retrieval of organisational records.
  • Ensure data integrity and confidentiality is upheld across all information systems.
  • Support staff in adopting best practices for information management.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Assist with training programs related to records and information management.

Profile

A successful Information Management Officer should have:

  • Relevant qualifications in records or information management or a related field.
  • Experience working with freedom of interest (FOI) processes (required)
  • Experience working with records management systems in a public sector environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and standards in information management.
  • Proficiency in using electronic document and records management systems (EDRMS).
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving skills to address information management challenges.

Job Offer

  • Hourly rate of $35 - $40, dependent on experience and qualifications.
