The Cerebral Palsy Support Network (CPSN) is seeking a dynamic and experienced SIL Team Leader to effectively coordinate the client's Supported Independent Living service and to ensure that goals and outcomes are met in accordance with their client plans. We have been providing high quality support, information and services to people with cerebral palsy and their families for over 25 years.
CPSN operates as a remote organisation. Most of our team are located in Melbourne, however, we have staff and managers in South Australia, Queensland and country NSW. We are open to engaging employees from any State/Territory in Australia, noting that if you are not located in Melbourne, some travel will be required to maintain in-person connections.
The SIL Team Leader role will be based at the home of the client(s) we support.
The Role
As the SIL Team Leader, you will work under the general direction of the Service Leadership team. You will supervise and direct the SIL Support Workers and will oversee the daily operations of the service and the client's home.
Your key work area functions will include:
Service Delivery Direct & Indirect Supports: Provide direct supports, including complex supports to SIL Clients & coordinating, recording and reporting on the delivery of indirect supports to evidence plant utilisation
Leadership: Utilise effective leadership skills to support the development and success of the service working collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure an effective understanding and execution of client plans, processes and goals
Client outcomes: Champion person centred and active support practices at all times ensuring client reports, shift notes and other reports are compiled and completed in a timely, appropriate and accurate manner
Recording, reporting & administration: Functionally work across all CPSN systems and platforms recording goal attainment & progress, conducting incidents and compiling associated reporting, recording medication and complex cares, concerns etc
Work Health & Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all CPSN policies, procedures, service frameworks and directions, participate and engage in CPSN training and development initiatives, champion safe work practices and ensure all NDIS practice standards are upheld at all times
About You
You are an experienced Team Leader with technical experience, skills & well developed leadership attributes and you are passionate about supporting & leading successful outcomes.
You bring:
Cert IV or higher in a relevant field
Past experience working within a Team in a SIL environment (experience leading teams within a complex needs service model would be considered highly advantageous)
An ability to closely align with organisational values such as those at CPSN
An understanding of the impact of disability on the family dynamic
A deep understanding of the NDIS' practice standards
