With an expanding pipeline of secured council work across the Greater Sydney region, we are now seeking an experienced Senior Civil Estimator to join our team.

The role:

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end estimation and tendering of civil projects for local government clients. You’ll work closely with the senior leadership team to prepare competitive, compliant bids that align with council specifications and procurement requirements.

• Prepare detailed estimates and tender submissions for civil infrastructure projects
• Interpret plans, specifications, and council tender documentation
• Complete accurate quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to source competitive pricing
• Ensure all documentation complies with relevant council procurement guidelines
• Attend tender site visits and briefings as required
• Support project handovers and buildability reviews with the delivery team

About you:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience estimating civil projects for local government
• Solid understanding of council procurement and documentation requirements
• Proven ability to estimate works such as road construction, kerb & gutter, stormwater, footpaths, car parks, and shared paths
• Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Excel and estimating software (e.g., Cubit, CostX, Benchmark)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously
