Leading Hand Carpenter (Builder) - Mosman - Luxury Home

An award-winning architectural home builder is looking for a Carpenter / Leading Hand to join the team on a major new build project in Mosman. This is a 3-year job, and you'll be across everything from demo through to handover, with the opportunity to grow within the business and eventually move off the tools into a Foreman role.

Demo is set to kick off in 3 weeks, so you'll be getting stuck in from day one. You'll be working with a small, experienced team, solving problems on the go and keeping things moving.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Site Manager to support day-to-day site operations

Hands-on work

Assist with supervising trades and managing on-site workflow

Maintain high-quality standards across all workmanship and finishes

Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and occasionally clients or architects

Ensure a safe, tidy, and compliant site at all times

Monitor daily progress and flag any issues that may affect timelines

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Qualified Carpenter

Solid carpentry background with exposure to architectural or high-spec builds

Confident communicator and team player

Good problem-solving skills and the ability to think ahead on-site

Eagerness to grow into a more senior role (Foreman pathway)

Strong understanding of site safety and construction best practices
