We are a down to earth and a steadily growing residential building company based on Sydney's North Shore who specialises in high-end architectural, alterations and additions. and new builds. We have a strong pipeline of confirmed growth and need a new leading hand carpenter to keep up with the demand.

Your future with us

We are looking for a gun chippy with a strong carpentry skill set who can take a plan and work without supervision. Your strong carpentry background and ability to communicate well and problem solve is essential. This is a long-term role to start as soon as possible, with a successful family-run business that takes care of its people and with the possibility of moving into a PM role down the track.

About the position

Based onsite across Sydney's North Shore, Hills District and surrounding suburbs, you will lead and motivate a team of 2-4 carpenters and apprentices depending on the project size.

The right candidate will:

Bring a strong carpentry skill set

Supervise the daily project activities

Measure and order materials

Read and interpret plans and/or architectural drawings

Problem solve and think ahead

Liaise with clients and trades

Ensure high WHS standards

Demonstrate quality craftsmanship

Be a team player

Have own car and full set of tools

Be flexible to go between sites when needed

Skills and Requirements

Trade qualified in Carpentry

Post apprenticeship residential experience

Current drivers license

Reliable and a clear communicator

Any leadership experience is preferred but NOT essential if you have the right attitude
