A global leader in industrial capital equipment is expanding its commercial team and needs an organised, inquisitive Tender & Proposal Manager to own the end-to-end tender lifecycle and lift win rates across Australia.

The Role
Reporting to the National Sales Operations Manager, you’ll become the central hub for all bid activity – hunting opportunities, orchestrating cross functional input, and producing polished submissions that showcase the company’s technical strength and ESG credentials. If you love turning raw data into persuasive narratives and enjoy guiding stakeholders toward a common deadline, this newly created role offers the autonomy and visibility to make your mark.
Responsibilities
Opportunity Search & Qualification
- Curate and manage tender portals to surface relevant projects.
- Proactively flag opportunities to regional sales leaders and drive Go/No-Go discussions.
Bid Development & Coordination
- Create bid plans, timelines and compliance matrices for each opportunity.
- Gather technical drawings, HSE data, pricing input and corporate credentials from engineering, finance, and QHSE teams.
- Craft clear, compelling responses, ensuring brand consistency and zero error submission.
Document Library & Knowledge Management
- Build and maintain a version-controlled library of boilerplates, case studies and compliance documents.
- Champion continuous improvement of content, templates and graphics.
StageGate & CRM Governance
- Lead weekly stagegate reviews, providing pipeline visibility and resource requirements.
- Update Salesforce with bid milestones, probabilities and post submission outcomes; track strike rate analytics.
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Coach sales engineers on storyboards, win themes and presentation strategies.
- Liaise with global colleagues to leverage best practice material and lessons learnt.
Skills & Experience Required
- 3+ years in bid / tender management, contract administration or technical proposal writing.
- Exposure to industrial equipment, construction, mining or engineering projects.
- Exceptional written communication and document design skills.
- Strong project management discipline able to juggle multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency with CRM (Salesforce preferred) and MS Office / Adobe Suite.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Engineering, Communications or similar.
