About the role

Due to continued growth in our Defence and government project portfolio, we are seeking a National Bid Manager to join our team in Melbourne and lead our bidding and proposal function across the country.

Reporting to the General Manager, this role is responsible for leading the end-to-end management of EOIs, tenders, proposals and capability submissions that align with NACP Projects’ values and strategic objectives.

This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced delivery teams, subject matter experts and business leaders to shape our pipeline of impactful construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, coordinate and deliver high-quality, compliant and competitive bid submissions.

Manage the full bid lifecycle, including bid strategy, planning, response development and submission

Facilitate bid/no-bid discussions and coordinate with internal teams (estimating, safety, project delivery, legal)

Ensure compliance with relevant frameworks including ASDEFCON, ICN and Indigenous Procurement Policy (IPP)

Oversee bid writing, design, formatting and final editing to ensure submissions meet client requirements

Collaborate with marketing to maintain company CVs, capability content, case studies and templates

Lead internal post-bid reviews and contribute to ongoing improvement of bid processes and tools

Engage with key internal and external stakeholders to build strong, trusted relationships

About you:

We’re looking for someone with Defence RFT process or delivery of Defence EWP or CFI construction projects ideally as a Bid Manager or Pre-Contracts Manager. You’ll be confident managing complex bids, enjoy working across teams, and take pride in delivering high-quality, strategic content. To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

Minimum 7 years’ experience in bid or proposal management, preferably in construction or infrastructure

Understanding of estimating processes and systems including building practices, methodologies and legislation

Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, contracts, specifications, terms and conditions

Ability to understand and price risk and make recommendations in regards to contract cost and profitability

Strong understanding of government and defence procurement requirements

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines, contributors and high-value submissions

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Adobe InDesign experience is advantageous

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying.
