We have an opportunity for a mid-level commercial lawyer to join our team. This role is available for immediate start and can be part-time if desired.

About you

We would love to hear from mid-level lawyers (3 years’ PQE +) who can display the following skills and experience:

General commercial law experience, including sale of business transactions, shareholders agreements, terms and conditions, and drafting or reviewing a wide range of commercial agreements (such as licence agreements, service agreements and supply agreements)

Sound basic knowledge and understanding of intellectual property, specifically trade marks and copyright

Marketing and advertising compliance review and approval, including for compliance with the Australian Consumer Law, trade promotion regulations and industry-specific regulations

Non-essential, but highly desirable:

Franchising experience

Leasing experience

Experience working in-house or as outsourced in-house counsel

What about soft skills?

In addition to technical expertise, you’d be a great fit for Legalite if you also have the following skills:

What’s on offer?

We’ll be straight with you. We pay very well, but we’re not going to compete with the top-tiers on salary.

We don’t have billable hours or individual budgets. The team all work together towards a team monthly budget. Not having billable hours has a huge impact on our culture more broadly – one that is collaborative, supportive, and less stressful.

We rarely work past 5:30pm.
