THE OPPORTUNITY

Following rapid growth in corporate and commercial work, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join Vault Legal on a full-time basis. This role would be ideal for someone with expertise in corporate and commercial law and litigation.

In this full-time position, you’ll play a key role in managing a variety of commercial and corporate matters (including commercial litigation matters) and providing strategic legal advice to a range of clients in the start-up and SME sectors. The role offers strong autonomy and the opportunity to work closely with our principal and clients.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Located in North Caulfield, reporting to our principal, you will be responsible for:

· Managing a portfolio of small and medium scale commercial litigation matters from start to finish.

· Collaborate with barristers to draft pleadings, affidavits and other court documents.

· Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements (such as supply, services, technology, IP and confidentiality agreements) and corporate documents (such as shareholders’ agreements).

· Advising on corporate governance.

· Assisting with transactions (e.g. mergers & acquisitions).

· Providing tailored legal advice.

· Working closely with clients to provide commercially sound, strategic solutions.

· Contributing to the development of precedents, templates, and other knowledge resources.

· Playing an important role in shaping our culture, and contributing to business development and marketing initiatives that support our continued growth.

YOU’LL BRING

· At least 3 years post admission experience as a corporate and commercial lawyer in Australia and have experience in commercial litigation.

· A proactive, client-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering clear, commercially sound advice.

· High attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong drafting and negotiation capabilities in commercial and corporate matters.

· Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal – you’re a clear thinker, confident speaker, and effective writer.

· A collaborative attitude, and a keen desire to be part of building something innovative within the legal industry.
