About the role
Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College is seeking a part-time HR & Compliance Officer. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the College's HR policies, procedures and compliance obligations are effectively managed and implemented across the organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of HR and enhance the employee experience at the College.
What you'll be doing
Manage and maintain the college's HR policies, procedures and compliance requirements
Provide guidance and support to the College Leadership team and employees on HR-related matters
Administer the employee onboarding and offboarding processes
Assist with the coordination of the College's professional development and training programs
Participate in the review and improvement of HR systems and processes
Contribute to HR-related projects and initiatives as required
Ensure the College's compliance with relevant employment and third party legislation and regulations
What we're looking for
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management, Business or a related discipline
Minimum 3 years' experience in a generalist HR role, preferably within the education or not-for-profit sector
Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures and compliance requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with employees at all levels
Proficient in the use of HR information systems and Microsoft Office suite
Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
37.5 hours per week
8:00am – 4:00pm Tuesday to Thursday including an unpaid 30-minute lunch break each day.
