About our Opportunity:
Are you like the students at Youth Inc. — ready to break away from tradition and craving a role with purpose, support, and real impact?
If you're tired of pushing for change in environments where your voice goes unheard and want to be part of an organisation that values innovation — this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.
This is a pivotal role within the Youth Inc. team, focused on supporting the growth of our organisation and building the capability of the people within it.
Reporting to the Business Manager, the HR Partner will lead the HR function with a high level of autonomy, while receiving support and guidance to ensure their success. We're looking for someone who is self-motivated, confident in their decision-making, and committed to fostering open, trusting relationships across all levels of the organisation.
About Youth Inc.
Youth Inc. is a purpose-driven, non-traditional secondary school for young people aged 17–24, based in Adelaide’s CBD. Focused on social impact and re-engaging students through real-world, project-based learning, it offers flexible pathways to complete SACE and VET qualifications.
The team works with passion and purpose, creating a supportive environment where personal growth, wellbeing, and individual strengths are nurtured. This same philosophy shapes the organisation’s culture—prioritising the development and support of staff to ensure students thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
With a team of around 30 staff, the HR Partner will oversee all aspects of HR specialist advice, programs, processes and projects including areas such as:
- Manage end-to-end HR across the employee lifecycle — recruitment, onboarding, contracts, development, performance, and exit.
- Work with the Executive Team to deliver professional development, capability building, and performance frameworks.
- Lead or coordinate performance management processes and engage external advisors as needed.
- Provide expert advice on the Education Services Awards.
- Maintain HR policies, procedures, and systems in line with compliance and best practice.
- Champion a high-performing, inclusive, diverse and values-driven workplace, leading programs and initiatives to strengthen the Youth Inc. culture.
- Ensure accurate HR data management and utilise data to provide valuable HR reporting.
- Lead or contribute to HR projects aligned with growth, compliance, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
