$45 - $55 per hour - work vehicle can be included in remuneration package if required

Working as part of a friendly and professional team, this role involves working on site at various project sites across Central Coast, Newcastle and Greater Hunter Regions. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team at UpBuild Constructions. The ideal candidate will need to be a skilled tradesman who takes pride in their work, has an eye for detail, and has the ability to work independently and part of a team.

Role to include:

Assist in the managing and administration of projects as required

Excellent carpentry application to a variety of works

Train and mentor junior staff as required

Assist Site Supervisor with WHS and environmental aspects of the site including site cleanliness and material safe storage and management

Responding promptly in an acceptable and courteous manner to enquiries and requests

Keeping good communication with Project manager, Site Supervisor, staff, third parties and the client at all times

Collaboration with other trades and team members to ensure work is completed on time and to the highest standard

Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with set plans and specifications

Assist Site Supervisor in delivering jobs within time, budget and scope

Detecting and reporting non-compliance NCR and RFIs and carrying out remedial works

Work with the Site Supervisor, Project Manager, Director and staff to achieve goals and targets

Adhering to quality control, WHS and environmental measures and controls

Adhere to legal, regulatory and industry standards and code of conduct requirements to meet relevant ISO and statutory needs

Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean and organised work environment

Assist Site Supervisor in providing carpentry advice to relevant people

Maintaining tools and equipment ensuring they are fit for purpose and in good working condition

Experience required

Formal carpentry qualifications e.g. Cert III in Carpentry and a minimum of 5 years’ hands on experience in the building and construction industry

Ability to successfully obtain police check/working with children certification Knowledge of construction building processes, means and methods, including reading plans

Experience working on residential and commercial works up to a $1.5 Million, Government works up to $2 million

High attention to detail, organised and good at problem solving

Valid and current driver license

Diligent, honest and integrity and great team player, always leading by example

Good communication and teamwork abilities essential

Competent application of computer software including, MS Office - MS Outlook, Word, Excel.

Working experience in the following systems highly desirable but not essential for the right candidate: BuilderTrend, Outlook and 1 Breadcrumb
