Your new company

Located South of the River, our for-purpose community services client requires a temporary Financial Accountant to assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities.

This temporary assignment is looking to start within the next 1 week, plus is estimated to be for 3-4 months.

Your new role

Reporting into the Finance Manager, the focus for this temporary assignment is to assist the existing finance team on core accounting tasks, including but not limited to;

- Balance sheet reconciliations (payroll, accruals, provisions)
- Preparation of audit work papers and support files
- Clean-up of legacy accounting issues
- Support for close process documentation
- Review and preparation of policies and procedures

What you'll need to succeed

- CA/CPA or equivalent full accounting qualification
- Australian Accounting & Auditing Standards knowledge
- Strong technical financial accounting and reconciliation skills
- Confident user of Excel and accounting systems
- Full commitment to the estimated 3-4 months period
- Ability to start this position within the next 1 week

What you'll get in return

- An hourly pay rate circa $50ph to $55ph inclusive of leave loading + superannuation
