Robert Half is working with a well-regarded business seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to support their finance team through the end-of-financial year period.

This is a 3-month temporary role with the potential to extend, suited to someone who can step in and add value from day one.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for assisting with a range of accounting tasks to ensure a smooth EOFY process. Your strong technical skills and attention to detail will be essential in delivering accurate and timely results.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting month-end processing and reconciliations
• Preparing and posting journals
• Assisting with the preparation of financial reports
• Performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Providing support across AP/AR functions as needed
• Contributing to audit preparation and maintaining the general ledger

About You

We're looking for:

• Prior experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar role
• Strong Excel skills and good knowledge of accounting systems
• Excellent attention to detail and time management
• A proactive attitude and ability to work independently
• Availability to start immediately or on short notice
