Inflatable Packers International is a fast-developing engineering and manufacturing company in the Oil & Gas, Mining, Geothermal, and Water well industry based in Tonkin Industrial Park, Bayswater.

We are recruiting an experienced Draftsperson with mechanical engineering background for a full-time permanent position to work as part of our team to design and model downhole tools and generate the required engineering drawings of all products designed and manufactured by IPI, plus preparing interactive procedures for training and workshop assembly. The design work will also include product /process refinement, new product development, system/procedure and productivity improvement initiatives whilst complying with quality management and document control systems.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in Industrial/ mechanical engineering drafting/ design (Civil engineering experience is not accepted).
• Experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is required
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Fundamental knowledge and experience with drafting and design of downhole tools (mechanical engineering)
• A working knowledge of quality management and /or document control systems would be an advantage.
