Hawkins Watts Australia (HWA) is a Food Ingredient Wholesaling company that represents overseas food ingredient suppliers in Australia and sells food ingredients to food manufacturers in Australia (B2B).
The Business Support Officer provides outstanding customer service to HWA's customers to ensure Hawkins Watts has the reputation as a supplier of choice for food ingredients in Australia.
Scope
Receive, process and confirm customer orders. Ensure all orders are supplied in full, on time as promised or to communicate immediately when problems are known.
Liaising with third party warehouses and internal HWA warehouse to coordinate stock delivery to the customer, and to follow up on delivery issues so customers can be kept fully informed of remedial action.
Communicate with customers in a manner which leaves them having experienced top customer service, whether or not HWA can meet their requirements. Ensure all corrective actions are taken to resolve issues.
Providing information to the Sales team, so they are fully informed of transactions with their customers and consulting with them in those areas where decisions may impact on HW profitability or the goodwill or the customer.
Enter customer/sales forecast into BC and monitoring stock uptake.
Liaising with the logistics team to ensure product is on track for timely delivery and contacting customers and updating records immediately when it is known those requirements will not be met.
Working with Quality Assurance to ensure that HWA's food standards are maintained, assist with the resolution of Non-compliance reports, monitor stock to ensure that stock deliveries are within shelf life, and maintain accurate records to preserve the integrity of HWA's food traceability systems.
Follow all company procedures and work instructions, ensuring every effort is made to meet customer requirements.
Working with the accounts department to ensure timely month end as per procedures/work instructions
Experience & Qualifications
The successful candidate must demonstrate:
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Well developed written and verbal communication
Time management - ability to prioritise and manage a large amount of open orders to ensure that all customers receive their orders on time
“Can do” attitude with positive approach to problem solving

Other Benefits
Salary range of $67,000 - $75,000 + super (depending on prior food ingredient B2B industry experience)
Work from home up to two days per week after training & probation
Eligible for discretionary bonus scheme after 12 months
Paid volunteering day/s every year
