About the role

Join the Isaac Business Chamber as a full-time Special Projects Facilitator based in the Isaac region of QLD. You will play a pivotal role in driving key strategic initiatives and projects that support the economic and community development of the region. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact and contribute to the growth and prosperity of the local area, particularly in Moranbah and Dysart.

What you'll be doing

Coordinate and facilitate the delivery of special projects, events and initiatives that align with the Chamber's objectives and core priorities of the Smart Transformation Program

Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, community groups and government stakeholders

Conduct consultation, research, analysis and reporting to inform and guide the development of impactful projects

Identify and collaborate with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for new initiatives and projects that address regional priorities and drive continuous improvement

Provide strategic support and project management expertise to ensure successful project delivery

Represent the Chamber and Smart Transformation at external meetings, conferences and networking events

What we're looking for

Relevant tertiary qualification or experience in a field such as community development, project management or business (e.g. Relevant tertiary qualification in community development, project management, business or related field, or equivalent work experience)

Experience in coordinating and delivering successful community or business projects or initiatives (2 years or more is preferable)

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to build productive relationships

Excellent organisational, time management and problem-solving abilities

Passion for supporting the local community and driving positive change

Proficiency with (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana) and Microsoft Office Suite

Must have a drivers licence, vehicle and have permanent Australian working rights or applicable visa to work in Queensland
