Role Overview:

The Project Manager- Natural Environment will support a number of city shaping legacy-projects including Oxley Creek Transformation Project, Mt Coot-tha Precinct Master Plan, Biodiverse Brisbane Initiative and Pine Mountain Master Plan. The role will deliver and support activities including:

Biodiversity and environmental planning, design and associated project delivery.

Urban, park and open space planning, design and associated project delivery.

The successful candidate will have:

Proven experience in project management within environmental, sustainability, or urban design sectors.

Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects including budget, planning, risk reporting and consultant/contractor management.

A collaborative mindset and a passion for delivering community and environmental outcomes.

Experience coordinating and participating in public consultation programs, meetings and events.

Experience in AutoCAD and documentation.

Experience in the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (particularly Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop)

Qualifications:

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as:

Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Environmental Planning or Urban Design

Desirable Experience / Attributes

Experience in the design and delivery of nature-based recreation or eco-tourism projects.

Experience in the design and delivery of environmental restoration projects including revegetation projects.

Experience in SketchUP, including 3D modelling skills and designing illustrative renders

Basic ArcGIS desirable or willingness to learn.

Personal and professional interest in biodiversity planning and sustainability.

Experience in working on public land or on public sector projects.
