About the Role

Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking a dedicated Course Administrator to support the effective delivery of administration services across the Higher Education Directorate. This role is essential in ensuring efficient course operations, strong stakeholder engagement, and high-level customer service that upholds institutional values and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level customer service to students, staff and stakeholders.
  • Support the full student life cycle including enrolment, progression, and completion.
  • Deliver general administrative services such as database management, meeting coordination, and event support.
  • Assist in academic administration processes such as assessments and work placements.
  • Manage program data on staff and student portals, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • Participate in accreditation and quality assurance activities.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide basic finance administration (e.g., processing invoices and purchase orders).
Skills and Experience Required
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in administration, preferably in higher education.
  • Advanced administrative, organisation, and software skills, including MS Office and databases.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment with attention to confidentiality.
  • Experience or willingness to learn systems such as STRATA, CELCAT, SharePoint and Learning Management Systems.
  • Understanding of compliance with OH&S, child safety, and continuous improvement policies.
Additional Requirements

Successful candidate will be required to provide:

  • A valid Victorian Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  • A National Police Check.
