Café Manager - Pozieres Retirement Village, Port Macquarie

Days of Work: Wednesday to Sunday

• Wednesday to Friday: 7:00am - 2:00pm
• Saturday and Sunday: 8:00am - 2:00pm

We're excited to launch a brand-new café at our Pozieres Retirement Living Village in Port Macquarie, and we're looking for a passionate and experienced Café Manager to lead the way.

This is a unique opportunity to build something meaningful from the ground up - in a supportive, community-focused environment. Serving our wonderful residents, guests, and visitors, this role offers the chance to manage a vibrant café space that delivers quality, connection and care.

What You'll Do

In this hands-on leadership role, you will:

• Oversee the daily operations of the café, ensuring smooth service from open to close
  
• Lead a small team, setting high standards for customer care and food presentation
  
• Develop the café offering to suit the needs and tastes of our residents and visitors
  
• Manage food orders, costs, and stock rotation, ensuring compliance with food safety standards
  
• Coordinate functions and special events within the village in collaboration with the Village Manager
  
• Onboard and train new staff, promoting a culture of service excellence
  
• Work with the Village Manager to deliver marketing and event plans that drive café patronage
  
• Foster a warm, inclusive, and community-oriented café environment

What You Bring

• Experience as a Café Manager or in a similar hospitality leadership role
  
• Knowledge of Food Handling Legislation, including HACCP requirements
  
• A passion for customer service and building relationships with regular patrons
  
• A Diploma in Hospitality Management (preferred but not essential)
  
• General computer literacy and confident communication skills
  
• A current Police Check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
  
• Availability to work Wednesday to Sunday, as per the hours above
  
• A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to work with minimal supervision
