MPI are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resource Geologist to join the Perth team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe extraction of gold resources, providing geological expertise, and contributing to the strategic planning and execution of their mining projects. You will contribute to the growth of their high-quality resource portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your resource geology expertise within a supportive and technically strong team.

The role:

Contribute to resource modelling and estimation activities for operating mines and near-mine projects

Complete geological interpretations, wireframing, and domaining using industry software

Perform grade control model updates, reconciliations, and reporting to support mine planning and production teams

Assist in the preparation of JORC-compliant Mineral Resource statements and technical documentation

Collaborate with site geologists, mining engineers, and exploration teams to integrate data for optimal outcomes

Maintain and promote high standards of data quality, governance, and QA/QC procedures.

The requirements:

Tertiary qualification in Geology or Geoscience

3-5+ years of experience in resource geology within gold mining in Australia

Experience in due diligence for M&A project generation highly desirable

Strong skills in resource modelling, estimation, and reporting with end-to-end data validation

Proficiency in software such as Surpac, Datamine, Leapfrog, or similar

Knowledge of JORC reporting standards

High attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
