We're looking to appoint 2x Exploration Geologists on 6-month contracts with the potential to become permanent.

Working FIFO on iron ore sites in the Pilbara, the successful candidates will have a minimum 3 years' experience in the mining and exploration industry, and a background working exploration drilling rigs.

EXPLORATION GEOLOGIST (x2)

Start: ASAP

Duration: 6 months with a view to becoming permanent

Roster: FIFO 12:9 or 2:1 with occasional swing changes as required

Location: Pilbara (iron ore sites)

Remuneration: Competitive rates on offer depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute exploration field activities in line with project timelines and regional drilling schedules
• Maintain exploration programs and ensure accurate records and information systems are updated with critical geological data (AcQuire and ARC GIS)
• Conduct and maintain geological mapping programs
• Drill rig supervision; geological logging; geological interpretation; ensure sampling quality is maintained
• Supervision of geophysical and geochemical surveys
• Provide technical input into the resource estimation for the deposits including geological logging, interpretation and modelling
• Refine mineralisation model based on geological observations

Criteria & Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in Geology
• Minimum 3 years' experience in the mining and exploration industry
• Previous experience working exploration drilling rigs (Diamond & RC)
• Iron Ore experience (preferred)
• Generative mapping capability (preferred)
• Senior First Aid & 4WD training
• C Class Driver's Licence and competent driving a manual vehicle
• Proficient with Micromine, Arc GIS and AcQuire and skilled in 3D geological modelling
• Full Australian Working Rights
