MPI are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Geologist to join the team. As a key member of this exploration division, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in advancing their exploration projects and contributing to the growth of the company.

The role:

Manage and maintain geological databases to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security

Oversee data capture, validation, QA/QC, and workflows from field through to interpretation

Support exploration teams with efficient data access, analysis, and reporting

Lead database upgrades and implement best-practice data management systems

Collaborate with geologists to integrate and optimise geological, geochemical, and geophysical data

Provide training and support to field geologists and technicians on data entry protocols.

The requirements:

Tertiary qualification in Geology or Geoscience

Significant experience in geological database management within mineral exploration or mining

Strong working knowledge of database software such as Datashed, SQL, Acquire, or similar

Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, MapInfo) and geological modelling packages desirable

Excellent attention to detail and passion for high-quality data management

Strong communication skills to engage with technical teams and external stakeholders.
